Weekend at Universal studios and Island of Adventure
Hello!

My second week passed by really quickly....but time flies, we all know that.
I had some good days last week. Some sunshine appeared a couple of hours at least so we could enjoy the beach but mostly rain. But I'm not complaining :D
I try to use my weekends and free time to visit new places and do some vacation-activities when possible.

Fridaynight me, Mariana, Jennie and Anouk went out to dinner because it was Anouk's last evening in Miami. It was a nice evening - will miss her! But we've already planned a reunion in Amsterdam in November, so we'll se eachother soon! <3

This weekend we went on a 2-day trip to Orlando to visit the Universal studios and Island of adventure!
Saturday, me and my roomate Jennie went to Universal Studios and then at Sunday Mariana joined us for the Island of adventure. It was really nice! It's themeparks with attractions like rollercoasters with others and buildings build up from different series or movies. For example we walked through Springfield - from the Simpsons, Minions Mayhem - from despicable me, Harry Potter world - the castle, Hagrid's house, Hogsmeade, Ollivanders, Gringotts bank, the Hogwarts express train and much more. I will put up some pictures on my facebook :)

- long story here!
The bustrip to Orlando took about 4-4,5 hours single way. On the way up they stopped at least so we could grab a cop of coffee. We had terrible evening on the Saturday, after the themeparks, because we came to a bad hotel. We paid 435$ and we're promised a nice hotel. But instead we got to a motel - you know one of those you see in horror-movies where someone gets killed....not pretty at all. But what happened was that when we at first got our room - there where no keys, so a janitor had to come and open for us  which took about 20min waiting...but when we got in the toilet was dirty and didn't work at all, so we had to ask for another room. When we got int o the second room it had a terrible smell of urine and the sheets were very humid, almost wet...So frustrated and tired after a long day we went back to the reception ones more and complained but they said they didn't have any rooms. So I phoned the tourcompany, responsible for our trip, and complained and demanded that they should take us to the hotel we were promised and had paid for! After another hour circuling around the reception, waiting for the manager to call me back - which he never did, he just sent the employees, we got a room in the hotelarea - which belonged to the same receptions..this was a better room with working keys to the front door and we felt a little bit more safe to go to sleep there - and it was clean. So a looong evening and night before we got to bed around 00:00....and then up at 7 to get ready for another day in the park. The continental breakfast they promise in the brochure was only a humid toast or a kind of sweet buns, "coffee" - more like a worse kind of tea, and watery orangejuice..so no breakfast here, instead we visited the best coffeeplace in USA - Starbucks, and got ourselves a real breakfast.
The bustrip home was not so enjoyable because the AC broke down so it was a bit hot inside. Then they didn'nt want to let us go out at the stop to go to the bathroom - but then I got angry cause the "toilet" they offered on the bus had no paper, no water and no kind of desinfective gel...so I got 2 miniutes or he would drive off, I was back after 1:30. I even scared him when I jumped on the bus and happily said 1:30 and went to my seat. In you face grumpy bussdriver!! So yeah...that whas a loooong story. We will demand some kind of refund.

Buscompany; Supertours - via Miami Tour company
Motel/Hotel: Metropolitan hotel - They will get a BAD review from me, I can tell you that....

But, except for the crazy mess with the motel/hotel and bustrip...we had a nice time at the themeparks.
A storm came in over Orlando around 4:00pm yesterday so we took an early Uber (kind of taxi) to Walmart Superstore to do some indoor-cheap-shopping before going back to Miami. It was like a version of our swedish "Gekås" in Ullared. Crazy big and a lot of people. Will return there though!

Now Monday again and my first lesson starts at 14:15 pm. It's nice to have the morning off since we got back around midnight yesterday. I hope the weather will be better this week...but you'll never know.

Have a nice week ya'll!

Hugs and kisses
