After a weekend at Bahamas in a small cabin, it was nice to get back to Campus and my own bed.
So the monday was very chill since we got back from Bahamas in the afternoon.
Tuesday - My first class din't start until 9:45 so I could sleep in for a while. During the first class we had visitors from a gym in Miami Beach called Crunch, they wanted to give us information about their range of workout-classes and a price offer for students. They also had a free week for EF-students to try out their workouts, so after dinner the same day, me and Jennie went to Crunch to participate in a kickboxing-class. It was nice but became very hot, I blame the AC ;) It all went fine until i lifted a to heavy barbell and felt my neckpain coming right back...the one I got rid of for about a week ago. So I had to take it easy with the heavy lifting in the end of the class, but I promise, I got a good workout! So sweaty and tired we took an Uber back to EF again. I decided to not sign up at Crunch cause I have a better price at Scott Rakow Youth center, it's good enough for my running and gymfacility, I'm not so into the classes, I'm more into individual training. I just put in my earphones and start the music and then I'm off on the treadmill.
On the Wednesday I had lessons until 12:35, then I was supposed to meet up with Mariana and check out the diving center at South Beach and some other stores. But when I was about to order an Uber, it didn't work. The application rejected my request, so I went online to check with my bank and noticed that a large amount of money, about 400$, had been scammed from my bankaccount. So the procedure began...I had to cancel my bankcard, make a policereport and report the skam to my insurencecompany. It's so damn irritating! So a lot of phonecalls here and there and I had to order a new bankcard - which might take about a week to get.
When I had that sorted out, me and Mariana finally went to the diving center and I got some priceinformation and recommendations of good dive locations. After that we took a walk to Lincoln road and visited a couple of stores before we met up with Jennie and treated ourselves with some food in a restaurant instead of the school cafeteria this evening. They had a Pasta wednesday at a place so we recieved a nice plate of pasta for only 10$ (ex. taxes). Every price you see is excluding the tax...in the beginning I hated it just because I didn't count it but now I'm getting used to it. Also the servicefees. After a couple of hours strolling around the city center, we went back to EF. Just when we had ordered our Uber, the rain started to fall, so it was a good timing I guess. I came home with 2 dresses and 1 pair of pants and they're all yellow. Light yellow. I love that colour xD
Thursday!
My first class was at 12:45 so I had the whole morning off! After breakfast I went to the gym and took a 45min run on the treadmill. Good start of the day before going to class. After finishing school for the day, me and Jennie went on a EF-tour to see a baseballgame at Marlins Park. It was Miami Marlins againsts New York Mets. It was a gigantic arena, with a big part with stores and shops. There were a lot of people, not full but almost. I have never been to a baseballgame so it was a nice experience. I didn't get so much of the gamerules though, but it ended with Miami losing so...that was sad. But what really impressed me was the great atmosphere when they sang the national anthem of USA. It was so powerful! A group of 4 men sang it a capella in the arena. The game lasted for about approximately 3 hours, by then we were quite tired. I bought some souvenirs with me, a small baseball bat and a baseball. I like souvenirs!

On Friday I finished class by 12:45 and had a nice afternoon off. It began with me riding the bike to the police department - who couldn't help me because apparently I have to make a report in the city the card has been used. So if my cardnumber had been used for example in Texas or Washington, then I would have to make a report in both places....stupid. Anyway I went back and spent my afternoon on the beach.
In the evening me and Jennie met up with Mariana and spended some time at the beach before changing and got ourselves ready for a night out! Cause this night was Mariana's last in Miami....We went to Lincoln road to eat dinner, ended up at a restaurant called Aura, they had a great burger. Happy hour of course, so we got some drinks. Buy 1 - get 1 for free, love this deals. Then we went with the partybus to Club Heart in downtown, which turned out to be one of the worst clubs I've ever been to....Even the club in my hometown is better than that!
So we didn't stay very long, perhaps 1-2 hours, then we took the Uber home, around 2 am.

On Saturday, Mariana went home, so me and Jennie went to her hostel and said goodbye and watched her go away...so sad!! We miss you lots girl!! <3 I can't wait to meet up again in Amsterdam this fall! :D
Then we had some brunch and went to the beach and spend a couple of hours on our floating madrasses. Good way to improve your tan. Then we made a short visit to Lincoln road and got ourselves a cold drink at Starbucks - I just love that place. We also made a visit to Rosetta, an italian bakery. They have wonderful fresh-baked bread. Saturdayevening was very calm, we went to the pool, had dinner, played Wii Mario Cart and just relaxed.

Sunday. I woke up around 9 when one of our new roommates came in..so already awake I thought, why not do something meaningful. So I went to the gym to run for a while before heading back in time for the brunch.
We spent some time at the beach this day aswell, but not for long because of the heat. So after a while we went to the city center to get some nailpolish and went by Rosetta where we decided to take a fika. They have good coffee there, stronger than the americano-stuff. But no coffeeshopp offers coffee like home :(
But I survive! After shopping some souvenirs we went back home and I spent the evening in my bed watching That 70's show.
6th week is already here, but you will find out more about that one in my next post! :)
Have a nice week ya'll!
Kisses and hugs
