Hello there!
Another week has passed by quickly. I can't understand where the time goes.
This week had a lot of fun activities!
This Monday I finally got to start the Cambridge program at EF. I look forward to get a tougher challenge now.
So 10 weeks - in total - we will be prepared for the Cambridge Examtion in advanced english. So now it feels more serious, what I was expecting.
When I last wrote a post in my blog, I had a terrible neckpain. I am happy to announce that it's gone!
Thanks to an american medical patch which contained some kind of painkilling element, I was cured overnight!
Woho! But before I put on the patch, I went to play basketball with a couple of friends and som turkish and french guys from EF. They didn't have any team spirit, especially not with girls, so after approx 30min play, me, Jennie and Amanda took a ball and played on our own. Much more fun! And some other local people joined us.
Next day - Tuesday, the neckpain was gone, so I could go to the gym in the evening and workout, quite easy with the neckmuscles though. Feels good to have gym to go to when it's to hot outside, and will be more hot in July...After gym I went to the beach to meet up with Jennie and Amanda and threw myself into the ocean to cool down a bit. Then me, Jennie and Mariana found an old Monopoly in a closet and decided to give it a go. But after an hour I was too tired so I went to bed.
Wednesday I had class until approx 12:35, after that I went to the beach to work on my tan ;-)
But this day it was about 40 degrees, so after only 1,5 hour, I went inside again because it was a bit too hot at that time. Instead I went to my room and just relaxed during the afternoon.
In the evening, me, Jennie and Mariana went to Lincoln road to get some information about a cruise to the Bahamas for the weekend. We got a good offer but we couldn't book the tour because the tourcompany needed our passport information, which we of course hadn't brought with us, so they asked us to come back the following morning. Since we were already ON Lincoln road we couldn't avoid to have a look in the stores. Victoria Secret, one of my favourite stores, had a SALE going on, so we all did some nice shopping in there.
The evening ended up at Montalcino - an italian restaurant with amazing pasta. I had a very tasty lasagna and I can probably guarantee that we'll be back some day.

On Thursday I had the morning off, didn't start class until 12:45, so I had the time to go back to Lincoln road to book the trip to Bahamas. After some trouble with VISA and passport etc. I finally managed to book the cruise for me, Mariana, Priscilla and Raquel - Priscilla and Raquel are friends to Mariana who wanted to join us. Jennie decided to stay at campus for the weekend. So on Saturday we go to Bahamas! Weho!
After the booking, I went to the gym for a 45 min run. So much easier to run inside in the middle of the day, I can assure you that.
After my afternoon lessons and dinner, me, Jennie, Mariana and Amanda took an Uber to Walmart Supercenter. A giant store, almost like Gekås Ullared in Sweden, with everything between heaven and earth for very good prizes. So we spent about 2,5 hours in the store, shopping some stuff we need for the summer and also some things for the cruise, for instance I bought a mask and snorkel to bring to Bahamas so I can se the great life underwater. Unfortunately there will be no time to dive this weekend, but I'm planning to do some other dives in Key Largo and around Miami, that I've heard is fantastic.

Today, Friday, I had morninglessons until 11, after that the school arranged a theme day called "Olympic day" were we created teams who competed against each other in different games, for instance sack jumping, tug of war and a couple of other things. It was nice, we met a team who cheated a lot - which the teacher, responsible for the game, didn't care about. So we were not so amuzed. I love to compete, but the one thing I hate the most is cheaters. Not acceptable. But there are a lot of 16-year old guys who recently arrived from France and Italy, with a awful attitude...hopefully they will just stay for 2 weeks ;-) (I hope).

Today is Midsummer - a traditional holiday in Sweden when we gather around to eat herring, fresh potatoes and a lot of Strawberries etc. They don't celebrate it here, so me, Jennie, Amanda and two lovely girls from Skellefteå: Lovisa and Josefine, skipped dinner and took an Uber to the most swedish place in Miami - IKEA!
We could finally have some swedish food. Meatballs and mashed potatoes with lingonberry. They didn't offer any strawberry cake, so instead we had a princess pastry with lingonberry. Very tasty I can promise you that.
We found a lot of useful things at IKEA, as always. Pillows, sheets, storageboxes for our closets and the greatest thing: Marabou Milk chocolate. Swedish chocolate. I usually don't eat so much candy, but I couldn't resist buying it since we can't find it in any other store in Miami. Only on ebay, but I promise you that it's very expensive to buy Marabou on ebay...It's just cheaper to go to IKEA ;-)
So thank you IKEA for giving us some swedish feeling this Midsummer. We had a great time!

Now I'm done for today. I've packed my bag for Bahamas- my Michael Kors bag will go on its first trip this weekend ;-) It will be a lot of fun, I imagine. All inclusive with food, not alcohol and sodas, just juice and water. But that's good enough during the day ;-) Las Vegas-shows during the evening and just a lot of events around the ship. We leave at 9:15 am tomorrow and will spend the day on the ship. The ship leave at approx 6:00 pm and will be sailing all night to Bahamas. On Sunday we will have around 10 hours free time at the Bahamas Island then the curise go back so we will wake up in Miami Beach at Monday morning aroung 7 am. So I will make it to school before 8! Which is great! :-)
I will write a new post on Monday about Bahamas. So for now, this is what you get!
I wish you all a Happy Midsummer and a great weekend!
Hugs and kisses
